Abstrakt:

This paper explores the assumption that students master grammar more effectively if they are exposed to exercises in which several grammatical items that have something in common are put together. It is believed that by contrasting a few grammar points at a time, the similarities and differences between them emerge more clearly than if they were taught and practiced in isolation. Doing exercises of this kind enables students to revise, reinforce and systematise their knowledge of grammar and become ready to expand it by adding something new.
