This paper deals with non-finite –ing clauses whose verb is commonly categorized as a gerund. It considers cases in which the –ing clauses have their own subject expressed either by the accusative, genitive or sometimes nominative form of a pronoun or the genitive or common form of a noun. The paper comments on possible semantic differences between these constructions as well as on some limitations in their use.
